Tata Power has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to supply 324 MW from its 1,000 MW Pumped Hydro Storage Project in Maharashtra. The project, awarded through a competitive bidding process, includes a 40-year agreement and aims for commissioning by 2029.
This development enhances Tata Power's position in the renewable energy sector, providing 8 hours of energy storage to meet peak demand. The project will connect to the 765/400 kV South Kalamb CTU Substation, ensuring reliable electricity supply during high-demand periods.
