Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has signed multiple Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) Tripartite Agreements in Uttar Pradesh, totaling 34 tonnes per day (TPD). This includes a 10 TPD plant at Pilibhit and two 12 TPD plants at Sitapur, set to start production by July 2026. These agreements enhance green fuel availability and support rural bio-economy development.
The Lakhimpur area now has 18 TPAs with total contracted CBG quantity exceeding 145 TPD. Additionally, BPCL expanded its renewable gas portfolio in Amethi–Pratapgarh–Raebareli with two more TPAs with Reliance, adding 5 TPD at Ayodhya and another at Haidergarh.
